About Zeus
Zeus’ name should actually be Shadow! That’s because he loves to stay by your side whether you are at the kitchen counter or folding clothes in the laundry room. He looks at you with adoring eyes! He’s very athletic and is learning how to play Frisbee. Zeus is already very good at jumping high in the air to grab the Frisbee out of your hand. He loves chasing tennis balls almost as much.
Zeus plays well with the senior dog in his foster home and engages her with toys and romping. Zeus carries plush toys around the house like a prize catch and tosses them up in the air just to catch them again.
Zeus is all puppy so he will need lots of patience and training. He is still trying to figure out the leash and he hasn’t been around cats.
Because Zeus is teething, he needs lots of fun chew toys! He loves bully sticks and big beef bones. He’s a quick learner and knows “sit,” “cookie,” and “let’s go out.”
Zeus weighs 40 pounds at 5 1/2 months, so he’ll likely be a big pup.
He’s high energy so adopters must have a physical, fenced-in yard No apartments and no small children please. Preference will be given to applicants with border collie experience. Zeus needs a home where someone is around most of the time to help with training and companionship.
Zeus is being fostered in the Lincolnton, North Carolina, area. Applicants must have a satisfactory vet reference which includes an annual exam, vaccines, a heartworm test, and purchase of monthly, year-round heartworm preventatives.
