About Riley
Handsome Riley is now being fostered near Burlington, NC. Riley is a border collie’s border collie with all the bells and whistles: intelligent, affectionate, good with other dogs, tolerant of cats, lives to play and eager to please. As with all active border collies, Riley requires lots of play time to stimulate him both physically and mentally. Riley is a young, energetic dog that travels well, walks loose-leash, and is house and crate trained. However, because he spent a good part of his earlier life being crated for long periods of time, we are really looking for a crate-free environment for him.
Riley requires someone that has some experience with herding dogs and the time and desire to give him the exercise/play time he needs. Ideally, we’re looking for a family or person with no children who would be at home most of the time to love on him. His special human must also have a large fenced yard, a lap that can hold a 50-pound dog, and a face that can withstand lots of sloppy kisses.
Riley excels at Frisbee games but could just as easily go fly ball or agility. Riley would do well in a home with another dog that likes to play.
