About Luna

Now available for adoption, Luna Lovebug! Don’t be intimidated by those full-moon eyes. Luna will win you over in a heartbeat by resting her head on your lap. Luna is around 5 years old and weighs 35 pounds. She is housebroken and knows basic commands such as come, sit, down, and shake. Luna is very intelligent and responsive to voice commands.

Luna loves car rides and walks, but most of all loves her person. She’ll wait for you outside the bathroom while you shower, under the table while you make dinner, and by the front door while you’re gone. Because of this, Luna would do best in a home where her people have lots of time to be around for her. She seems to prefer a quiet home without teenagers horsing around or young children that she might feel the need to herd.

While she has shown some herding around other dogs, Luna is calm in the house and enjoys snuggling or just being by your side. She hasn’t shown any interest in a tennis ball or Frisbee, but she springs to life with a soccer ball!

Luna has access to a crate, but only takes her meals in it. She has done well when being left alone loose in the house.

She hasn’t been tested with cats or farm animals but does well in the house with her doggy roommates. (She will try to herd them if they get running around.)

Overall, Luna is a sweet girl who just wants to be part of your day. Border collie experience preferred, fenced yard required, no apartments.
