About Tommy

Hey, friends. I’m Tommy and I’m hanging out with my new foster family in Charleston, South Carolina. I’m a 2.5-year-old, 40-pound classic border collie. I get along swimmingly with my foster sister Poppy, a 60-pound border collie mix. She’s teaching me how to play with toys and I like learning about my new “pack” from her. I’m still wary of a lot of things and startle easily, so please be patient while I warm up to some new things in life!

While Tommy is a superbly handsome guy, there’s a lot more to him below the surface! What is so distinct about him is his gentle, old soul. Still waters run deep, as they say! He has a soft, but happy demeanor, with a playful energy that seems less high energy than other border collies. He does not enjoy being left alone at this stage. He also would prefer a life with another dog or two in it. He loves to follow the pack leader! Tommy will need good structure and routine in life — things he can count on daily.
