About Kate
Kate is a beautiful and loving border collie who truly offers the best of both worlds. Inside the house, she’s relaxed and either cuddles with her person or lounges in her kennel. Outside, she wants to run and play herding games with her foster canine siblings. She’s happiest when snuggling and is such an attached Velcro pup, always wanting to stay with her people.
Kate came to her foster home not knowing any commands, but is very smart and quickly learned how to sit and is working on stay and shake. She’s doing great on a leash, is wonderful in her crate, and is really doing well with house training. Like most border collies, she has an active mind and needs activities or lots of cuddling.
At about 5 1/2 years old and 40 pounds, Kate is a great age and size. She’d love a calm house where someone is home most of the time but hopes that someone will take her out on lots of walks or hikes. She’d be fine as an only dog or she’d fit in well with other dogs that want to include her.
Kate needs a house (no apartments) with a fenced-in yard. She really wants a special person who will stay close by and give her the love she needs and deserves.
