About Bandit

Maybe he’s named Bandit because he will steal your heart. This handsome border collie is playful and eager to please, ready to squirm his way into his person’s life.

Bandit is just over a year old and just under 40 pounds. He has a lot of energy and loves to chase balls, play with toys, and wrestle with his canine siblings. He is smart and likes brain games and knows sit, down, wait, and stop. He can catch the Chuk-it ball off of his nose and will chase it all day. He will chase and fetch/retrieve the ball and the flying disc.

Bandit likes his crate and sleeps there at night. He’s house-trained and does pretty well on the leash. He loves being outside and going exploring so he needs a home with a physical, fenced yard (no apartments) where someone is home most of the time and can take him on adventures. Bandit requires a home with no young children.

Bandit would probably do best as an only dog, but he has settled in well with his foster siblings.  Because of his good looks and magnetic personality, he likes being the center of attention!

Bandit requires an owner with years of border collie experience so they can understand this whip-smart, energetic breed and can devote a lot of time to play and training. His ideal person is someone looking for an active companion that plays hard and loves just as hard.

Bandit does well in the car. When he’s not playing, he is happy to relax in his crate or curl up on the couch with his people.

Bandit is being fostered in Greenville, South Carolina. Applicants must have a satisfactory vet reference which includes an annual exam, vaccines, a heartworm test, and purchase of monthly, year-round heartworm preventatives.
