Bella

Beautiful Bella is a sweet young border collie who loves her person and her canine foster brother. She enjoys going for walks and for car rides, especially if her human is around.

When Bella was found as a stray as a young puppy, she was very fearful. She bounced around between several apartments, which didn’t give her the space or time to learn to trust. Now she has decompressed in her foster home, but she is still anxious around new experiences and new people, although she really loves to play with other dogs.

Bella is a Velcro dog who doesn’t like to be left alone for very long. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, and comes when called.

This sweet girl will need a quiet home where her people are around most of the time. It will take a special family with border collie experience to be patient with her and gain her trust. But when she trusts you, it will be so fulfilling. Bella must have a fenced yard and can’t go to an apartment or a family with children or cats. She would really love to have a playful dog who can help her relax and trust that the world can be truly a good place.

Bella is being fostered in Charleston, South Carolina. Applicants must have a satisfactory vet reference which includes an annual exam, vaccines, a heartworm test, and purchase of monthly, year-round heartworm preventatives.
