PRBCR Courtesy Listing Request

We are so sorry that you must find a new home for your dog.

Unfortunately, we have a limited number of foster homes available. PRBCR does offer courtesy listings on our website for border collies and border collie mixes. We’ve had good luck helping owners find new homes for their pets this way. Check out examples here.

For a courtesy listing, you will handle all aspects of the adoption. One advantage of listing your dog here is that most people who visit our site are aware of the needs and energy levels of border collies. (There’s no charge for listing your dog on our courtesy page.)

For example when PRBCR adopts a dog to a new home, the adopters must sign a contract agreeing to regular vet checks, monthly heartworm preventatives and that they will return the dog to PRBCR if they no longer want to keep them. We also do a home visit, vet reference to check for annual exams, vaccines, heartworm test, spay/neuter, and purchase of monthly heartworm and flea preventatives. PRBCR charges $300.00 for an adoption. You may wish to come up with your own criteria and contract to ensure a great home. (Charging a fee can help keep your pet safe by making sure he is going to a loving home as a family pet.)

Biography

Use this space to write short paragraphs describing your dog. Read several biographies posted on the website for ideas on what to include.

Potential adopters will be reading your description to determine if they feel the dog will work well in their household. Their household may include children, other dogs, cats, etc. If you know that your dog either gets along with or does not get along with children, dogs or cats, please include this information. Also, include any fencing requirements or restrictions.
