Super-sweet Jack was given up by his owner when she had to move into a place where she couldn’t keep him. It was a heartbreaking decision, but this handsome, senior border collie-beagle seems to understand and is ready for his true, forever home.
Jack loves staying close to his people while inside, but is also independent when he’s out searching for new smells in the backyard. He adores going on walks with his two foster sisters. He’s amazing on the leash and is so happy when he gets to stop and smell something new. He’s up for two walks a day and once he gets home, is so proud of himself after his big adventure.
Jack loves people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s very chatty. His hound side comes out when he talks to his people, especially when he’s happy to see them, when it’s time for a walk, or (of course) when it’s time to eat.
This laid-back boy really enjoys family time but won’t turn down a chance to nap. (We feel the same, Jack.)
Jack requires frequent potty breaks during the day and wears a doggy diaper at night. He takes medication for pain to keep him feeling his best.
His perfect home would be a calm family where someone would take him on walks and be around most of the time. He’d like a fenced-in backyard to keep him safe. He needs a home without cats and children, and with a calm, low-energy adult dog.
Jack is being fostered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
